Knowing the difference between each light type will help you understand how lighting works, and it will directly make you think if your house or your room is well lit or not? Are the lights in your room of the right type? And if they are not of the right type, then how can you make it right? Therefore, this is something that would help you in life; having said that, let's jump on to discussing all the types of lights.

Spot Lights:

Spotlight isn't difficult to understand as such; it projects light just like its name, in a spot. Spotlights emit a very direct light in a spot; this is why they are always used in places like museums to illuminate a particular object. The spot of light that it emits is very sharp and bright and makes a prominent circle, but as you increase its diameter, the spot of light will become soft and light.

Point Lights:

Point lights are usually the ones that we use in our houses and almost everywhere because they can emit light in all directions, not on a focused point but everywhere. However, the light comes from a single source but can illuminate a room, not just a part of it. Although you can make it a single-point light by using it with lamps that way, they wouldn't properly cause illumination in all directions.

Area Lights:

Area lights are basically panel lights that usually come in rectangular or square shapes and can cause illumination in all directions. These are usually installed on the ceiling, not on the walls, whereas point lights and spotlights can be installed on both ceiling and wall. Although they consume a lot of energy as they are bigger in size than spot and point lights, to solve that problem can get it from a led glass panel light exporter because led lights to consume very less energy.

Volume Lights:

Volume lights are somewhat similar to point lights as they also cast illumination in all directions; however, there is a difference. The difference between the two is that point lights come in all shapes and sizes, whereas volume lights come in a specific shape and size. The other thing about volume light is that it can only illuminate the area or object that comes in its volume; this way, it might be considered similar to spot light, but the two are completely different.
